After growing up in New Jersey and graduating from Bucknell University, Carol moved to Breckenridge in 1984 with dreams of becoming a ski instructor—much to the chagrin of her parents! She quickly fell in love with the infectious enthusiasm of people learning to ski, experiencing snow or the mountains for the first time, and sharing everything she loved about Breckenridge.

Carol later earned an MBA from the University of Denver and began traveling the country to promote Breckenridge’s vibrant summer tourism and magical winter wonderlands on behalf of the Breckenridge Resort Chamber (now the Breckenridge Tourism Office). As Public Relations Director, she hosted journalists from around the world, proudly showcasing Breckenridge’s “slice of heaven” in the Rockies.

In the late 1990s, Carol and her husband launched construction and property management companies. Together, they built and sold numerous speculative (“spec”) and custom homes, managed a variety of short- and long-term rental properties—from cozy studios to luxurious ski-in, ski-out homes—and oversaw several homeowners’ associations.

Carol and her husband continue to live in Breckenridge, raising their family and enjoying hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, and exploring the surrounding mountains.
